Opened in October last year, Deck is a non-commercial, independent art space for people to celebrate photography right in the heart of Singapore.

elcome to DECK – an independent art space launched with the mission to support and nurture the community of photography enthusiasts in Singapore and South-east Asia.
Put together by like-minded individuals and organisations who share the vision of building a dedicated community space for photography, this modular art space in Prinsep Street also carries an education mission. It aims to create an archive and resource room dedicated to photography in Asia, as well as to carry out year-round school programmes for young minds.
The space houses two galleries, a resource library, an activity studio, an artist’s studio and a cafe within 19 repurposed shipping containers, creatively assembled to overcome the challenge of land scarcity in Singapore. DECK believes that photography is about people and welcomes all – the professional, the novice, the smartphone photographer, the photographed and the viewer.
